Dear Barbara and team I hope this gets to you as I just wanted to say how impressed I am by your site. I have just built a site dedicated to inspiring children about the world around them, [theutensilsonline.googlepages.com]
I am realizing how challenging it is to get the balance right between being fun, informative clear and inspiring for children,(of different ages as well!!!).And then delivering the content in a coherent way. And you have so much content too! Hats off to y'all, keep up the good work
Warm regards Gaetan

I'm a big fan of your monthly calendar, which I pin up on the outside of my cube at work so that everyone can enjoy it. Today one of my co-workers informed me that I'm missing an important holiday -- Pi Day. It seems that Pi Day is celebrated every year on -- what else -- 3.14. Since one of my hobbies is baking, this co-worker thought I could turn Pi Day into Pie Day, something I might consider for next year.

In case you need additional holidays, I thought you might like this one.

Thank you Anne! I have added Pi Day to the March calendar.

This was a great Valentine's issue! Everything was great! It would have been of much greater help to have had this issue 7-10 days earlier! Maybe next year!

Thank you Bee.

Yes, I know it was a bit late to send Valentine's Day ideas on Valentines' Day. frown The idea came to me rather late, though, and I thought I would try and SQUEEZE it in.

I have a favor to ask of everyone!!!!!

As a culminating activity to my States of America Unit, I ask anyone that can, to send to my class, postcards from any State in the U.S. If you have friends or relatives in other states could you ask them if they could do my classroom this favor. I am going to have them put the postcards on the bulletin board with a string going from the postcard to the city or state it is from. I don't care if they are used or new. This will give them the little extra review of the states every time a postcard comes in the mail, I am including my address. I would really appreciate it if you would forward this message to any friend or family member in the US that you think would help us.
Please try to take the time to do this for me. Everyone knows that review helps to cement the knowledge into their minds and special education students need all the review they can get and it really helps if it is a fun activity.

Thanks to all of you,

Karen Castle

You have the wrong date for Daylight Savings Time for 2007. You have March 2 when in fact it's march 11th. Just though you'd like to know!
